Hello! My name is Mrs. Miletich and I am excited to be part of the high school team! More importantly, I am thrilled to be an English teacher! It’s going to be a fun school year full of joyful learning experiences.

      One of my goals is to get to know you and your family really well this year. Part of meeting that goal is to develop a relationship with you! Let me tell you a little about myself. I am the second oldest of five children! I have two sisters, and twin brothers. I attended Keuka College, where I completed my undergraduate education. My first teaching position, one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in education, was teaching English to at-risk youth in Rochester, NY.  After getting married, I attended graduate school at the University at Albany.  Shortly after my husband and I started our family, we moved to the North Country. We now have four wonderful children: Mitchell (21), Dawson (19), Spencer (17), and Justine (15). I came to Franklin Academy from Brushton-Moira, where I taught reading, as well as 7th and 8th grade English. It is a privilege to be teaching 9th grade students in Malone!

     My hobbies include cooking, baking, gardening (flowers, not vegetables!), skiing and fishing.  I definitely enjoy spending time with my family at home, but look forward to the time I spend with my students at school!

      I anticipate that we will make great strides this semester! The instruction that I provide is developmentally appropriate, NYS Core Curriculum aligned, challenging, and fun!  My goal is to always foster a love of reading and writing among my students!
